badly inflamed , need advise

I'm badly inflamed at my upper stomach
normally if I take codeine it will help or eat less but nothing is helping
I'm in so much pain!

Codeine could exacerbate your pain possibly.
I cannot take codeine at all,....for the very reason that I'm doubled over in pain from that med alone. MORE than what I'd need it for.

Now, why do you think your upper stomach is inflamed?

Sounds like you could have reflux, gastritis or possibly rectal inflammation that's untreated (seems to cause discomfort in the stomach area for some reason for me), or you've got lots of gas and the pain is in the splenic or hepatic flexure or across the transverse..

Explain more of what's going on rather than just the pain. The stomach area or directly the stomach or the esophagus?

linahawk, I hope you're feeling better after some rest. Did you take anything? Codine makes me sick, some people do much better with pain pills but for me, I get nausea and feel awful. I don't know much about stomach inflammation, If you're in that much pain, perhaps going to your doctor, a clinic or ER is necessary.

Quincy- im really bad at explaining my symptoms but ill try
it feels like its coming from the upper part of my stomach near the liver
i cant move much because its so inflamed and swallon and i cant eat because it seems to make it worse
if that makes any sense?

Yes it does, and it could be liver or gallbladder or even a hernia.

You must call the doctor and get that area examined for sure.

If it is gas..OK, at least you can treat it...but don't wait too long.
