Any weird habits because of colitis??

Alright so its friday and I dunno why i noticed i developped specific habits since I have UC.

-I work in a shopping center and i have one toilet that is my special one. From all the ones in the public toilet there is one lucky seat and if someone is in it its more difficult to go!

-Im always flushing the toilet at the same time when i have my initials gas before a bm to try to cut the noise.

-I tarted to speak t my colon and motivate him to do a big one for me!!

-When i see someones bm that hasnt been flushed in public toilet i get jealous cause usually its a piece of sh... mmmm art!

-First time I was sleeping at my boyfriends house i pretended im a person that needs a shower as soon as i wake up to be able to have a bm while the shower is on and come all resh and clean!!

While I don't have the colitis dx but severe IBS from having a good chunk of my lower colon removed (cancer), I have odd like habits now too - first off when I had my temp ostomy, my ET nurse always said to check for TP first, that's my first order of business. Then I prefer a public bathroom with numerous stalls, not one. I hate when there is just one because no sooner than I sit down to go someone is knocking and I hate the pressure I feel to hurry. Sometimes I just can't hurry.

My favorite public bathrooms on the planet are casino's - the ones we've frequented in Indiana have no fewer than 20! 20, now that's my kind of bathroom.

My second favorite public bathrooms are interstate rest stops restrooms. You usually have at least 5 to choose from.

I always joke that if we ever won the lotto and we could build a new house, I'd want 10 toilets and 2 sewer lines. Not 1.

Oh the odd things you think of when you need a bathroom as frequently as we all do and usually with urgency. I once had it so good and didn't even know it!

I rock back and forth to stimulate my colon. I'm not really constipated, but I want to get through things faster when it's not coming along as quick as I'd like.

Marsky_ That happens to me also.  One stall and someone comes in and I take awhile.  Oh, well. Not like I can hold it and let them go.  So funny.

I tap my feet and I flush several times if loud. I fart in my cube a lot it helps not make it so noisy. If I stink myself out of cube I go to the 'fax' machine, don't want someone to stop by and smell that....

Also my friend in the cube across from me (we act 12 sometimes) I will wait until she has someone in her cube, look her in the eye, lift my butt cheek and let it rip.

One of the weirdest things I do, is when in a public washroom and others are there I try to slow my farts down so they don't sound as loud as they normally would if I let them "go" at full speed...I'm pretty weird eh!

Although my excessive gas has been under control for quite a while now, I generally still have some gas with bowel movements which I think is still normal.

I do the slowing down of farts thing, pb4. Sometimes it accidentally comes out too fast/loud, and it totally startles me! (and I'm sure anyone else in the bathroom too!) LOL.

If I have something major going on a certain day and I know ahead of time...the day before I eat very lightly. I am someone that if stressed or anxious about something in the least it will cause LOTS of potty breaks. I don't have time for that. So not eating so much the day before helps and of course not being in a flare.
