Suprep - Can you guys who have done this prep see if you think this is right?

I haven't been on the boards for a while as I have been doing okay. I have my scope in the morning and so yay it is prep time

My doctor gave me a new one called Suprep - it is from the same company as golightly but it is a smaller amount of liquid that you drink.

In the instructions it says that you should wait 10-12 hours untill you take the second dose and that patients that took it all at once were at a higher risk for problems but my nurse wrote down to do one at 5pm and one at 7 pm. My scope is at 7:15am so there is no way she meant 5pm and 7 pm.

Do you think it is okay?

on a side note I guess the company that makes it is Braintree Laboratories - they make several different preps. I was looking around for info on it and I found this kind of scary site for people who sell the stuff to doctors( I think they are like drug reps)....

It was interesting - I think I found the only other group of people who talk about preps as must as people with UC and crohns.....

My colonoscopy was scheduled for 8am. The day before, I took my first dose of Suprep at 4:00 pm and the 2nd at 7:00pm.

I didn't write back after my scope because i was so out of it and I forgot...I switched doctors because I moved to Fort Worth and so it was my first time and the new scope place which went really well. I had to drive a ways and I used to only have to drive about 5 mins to get to my old doctor and I was always worried about making it there. Because of the new prep I was done going to the bathroom before I went to sleep that night. I slept through the night and didn't get up even once. I did go mostly water that morning and I went the whole drive and waiting in the waiting room and I was fine.

The prep was hard to get down and I have a strong stomach - A crappy large intestine but a strong stomach- I almost threw up with this prep and I have only thrown up twice in my life. But I got it down and then I felt really bloated and sick for about 45 mins. I also thought I got dehydrated - I felt really sick before I went to bed but once I got to sleep I was better. I got most of both bottles down )about 8/10ths of them.

My guess, if I do it again I will strive to take 3/4ths of the bottle but probably they will have another new prep on the market by then...we will see. My scope actually came back that I am was almost in remission but I am already feeling crappy again and and it has only been 1.5 months. Did I mention that I hate this disease.... :(
