Water retention/Severe Sweating!

This is a total nightmare and is causing real problems for me but I don't know how to stop it. On 125mg 6-mercaptapurine, 4g pentasa, 40mg prednisone.

Not so much water retention/bloat, obviously im getting that but it's dealable.

Basically im sweating horrendus amounts and not really doing anything, it's like someones turned a tap on, or shower it's not just sweat on face etc, it's literally running like a stream off my face dripping everywhere, my hairs always soaked constantly and it's causing problems making me feel really unwell, i feel v v frail because of it like dizzy and disorientated, not easy on my feet and i start shaking for some reason if i put pressure, for example if i pushed my hands against a wall the arms/muscle would shake/tremble. And also making me feel tired n sick.

Also I am peeing so much, like tonight I never even drank anything really and i pee'd like 15-20 times and im peeing that much it's starting to hurt when peeing. *** is going on, main issue is the sweat I can't seem to stop it, and keep feeling a million degrees have to have a fan in my room 24/7 and it's not even hot outside argh! any ideas?

I have been on a lot of pred over the last year n half since diagnosis (9 courses) and I have NEVER sweated like this much before, don't get me wrong when on it I do get hot flushes and sweat a little but this is insane, im kinda paranoid as I googled and sometimes diabetes comes up thats the last thing I need.

Heard I can get tabs from doctor to help block as much sweat?

I hope not, but that could be the issue since they bumped it up from 50mg to 125mg :/.
I tollerated the drug fine at 50mg though.

I thought I was the only one with the sweating problems from Prednisone. I talked to my doctor and she said that it wasn't a normal side effects of Prednisone however, so many individuals have mentioned this as a side effect. It was so embarrassing for me. I would be sitting in class in the middle of winter, in a cold room, sweater and all and I would have sweat stains, through my sweater and my coat! People would look at me really funny and it was just so embarrassing. What I noticed was that as I tapered down from Prednisone, the sweating became less of an issue. New problems did arise but sweating was no longer the main side effect. Things like gaining weight and moon-face and hair loss on the head and facial hair growth became a lot more apparent. Yeah thats a bit of a nightmare, im the opposite from you with the extra hair, because pred wrecked my hormones all the hair on my body more or less fell out lol. Hair on my head grows faster though but the quality of the hair is pretty crap really dried out etc.

The sweat is a bit of a disaster in those situations, thats why im so mad as it's pretty horrendus, but it's good to hear others are having same issue as im really paranoid about diabetes, i'll still get my blood sugars etc checked none the less. Cheers.

When I was on prednisone in Spring it too made me sweat like crazy. One minute I was fine the next I felt like I was burning up and I was drenched in sweat. When I slept I would wake up soaking wet. I called it my "personal summers"...kinda like the hot flashed of menopause that I am so not looking forward to.

Just thought i'd up this thread. Had the blood sugar checked it's 6.0 so thankfully not in the bad range for diabetes etc.
Sweating seems to be getting a lot better not as bad as it was last week, starting to think weather it is the pred or some sort of fever I might have had?

Glad you got it checked, and the blood sugar is ok. I agree that it was likely the pred. I am also sweating like a mad woman - even when I am not doing anything.
