As for FB, I don't think there are too many active users that have tried it. I saw you commented on Sas's post but her and subdued are the only people who are active who have tried it as far as I can remember. You could try doing a search. I believe there was a user named killcolitis who tried it with her daughter without success. :( Of course, I would imagine the at home method is not as effective as the in-office method but I have seen people do well with the at home method!
Yes. I have bumped into very few people who have tried it. about
half of them have tried it with great success and half with no success. One person said they flared as a result, which really is not that great of a horrible side effect in comparison with some of the meds for UC. I know there is a grossness factor. Our brains are wired to not want to put poo up the butt. But I feel that spraying diarrhea and blood all over the toilet and my clothes, passing a ton of blood clots and mucusy poo, and having accidents out in public, was far more gross than sticking a bit of poo up my butt in a closed, private bathroom.
Most people who have had success with FT announce their success then leave. The main reason I stay is to let people know that FT is a viable option. It does work for some. I have gone from being diagnosed as having a serious case of UC to having only a mild case. I'm in remission and doing well. I am not "cured" though. I still need to be very careful about
what I eat and drink, and I don't take antibiotics unless absolutely necessary.
