After dealing with trigger finger (this is where the tendon sheath tightens down around the tendon causing contracture or a possible nodule on the tendon sheath unable to let the tendon glide smoothly) for 3 years, I am going in on Wednesday to have my tendon sheath release.
I've been sort of hit and miss here on the Uc forum because I can only respond to about
two or three posts at a time or it causes me pain (and with two other forums to moderate, I need to spread myself out! lol).
I am going under sedation and the doc will numb my hand. They make an incision about
1" just under the finger about
an 1" down (palm side). She will then snip the tendon sheath, allowing free movement again. I hope to be pain free in a week or two (perhaps sooner).
So anyway, wish me luck guys! Hopefully this will fix me up and y'all get to "hear" me yapping again!
