Boston Area GI

Hi all,

I'll be relocating to Boston in about six weeks, and I'll need to find a GI in the area. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who is open to (and, better, experienced with) alternative treatments such as diet modification, probiotic therapy, and fecal transplantation. I know that's kind of a tall order, so even just a GI who's willing to treat me as an equal partner in battling this disease will do. Any recommendations?

I had called to make an appointment with him and it must have been either deleted from the computer or never put in correctly. The day before my appointment I hadn't recieved an appointment reminder call so before I drove the hour to my appointment, I called, and I was told there was no appointment for me in the system so I waited 3 months for an appointment that never exsisted. Also, when I wanted to rebook they told me his schedule was full for the next 5 months, so be prepared for that. I had to see someone because I was not in the position to wait another 5 months.

I see Sarah Flier at BIDMC, I've just started seeing her but so far she is much better then my last GI but I can not tell you about how she is with alternative treatments.

I have gone to MGH at the Chrons and Colitis center saw Dr. Yajnik, he confirmed everything my local GI said, they are also a teaching hospital.

I am going to see someone in NH about alternative treatments. My brother swears by him, and I figured why not??
