Burning pain on rectum.

Developed a  chronic burning pain on the top/center of my rectum about 5 inches below my navel. Usually when full with a stool or just after passing one. In all my episodes of proctitis I have never had this sensation.

Sort of the same feeling one gets with acid stomach except further South.

Seeing the GI specialist on Friday as proctitis symptoms aren't going.

Wife and I were hospitalised for a few days 3 weeks ago after a multiple car crash. CT scans taken afterwards show no concerning changes in the bowel although I know CT scans are not perfect in picking up bowel disorders.

Anyone else get a pain like this?

I don't know if I have experienced the same sensation you are describing, but I can definitely feel the inflammation in my rectum. Often it will get worse and worse over the course of the day as I go to the bathroom more and more. It is definitely worse after a bm. Sometimes it is even painful to sit. Definitely get it checked out if it seems different from your usual symptoms.
