So, are you saying your ileum is involved in your inflammation? The concept of ileum involvement wouldn't be an issue for most on here unless someone has crohn's colitis and Crohn's ileitis.
Chronic inflammation can definitely cause lead pipe colon. Megacolon is an issue for some UCers, more than CDers, whereas blockage is more common with CDers than UCers.
I have read one member who has lead pipe sigmoid colon....if I remember correctly.
While barium enemas are useless for diagnosing UC, it'll definitely show deformations of the colon.
