Endometriosis Bleeding?

Does anyone with UC also have endometriosis?  I'm flaring now, and starting to bleed.   I've always thought I may have endometriosis, but have never been diagnosed.  Just wondering if there is a way to tell the difference between UC bleeding and this.  Is the color of the blood different?

I guess I should add I don't normally bleed during a flare.  Only happened really badly once.

I would just check the toilet paper after wiping each spot. Also take a look at your poop, and see if there's blood actually in it rather than being kind of separate.
And go see a doctor about your possible endometriosis as well!

I don't think you'd get endometriosis bleeding from the rectum. Endometriosis is growth of uterine lining inside the pelvis, but not inside your intestinal tract.

The only way I know of to truly diagnose endometriosis is through a pelvic laparoscopy, so the DR can visualize the endometrial growth on your organs.

I think many DRs say we have endometriosis if we complain long enough about pelvic pain. My OB/Gyn and reproductive specialists were sure that's what I had when I had my first lap (pre-Crohn's diagnosis) at age 33. Clean pelvis, but still lots of pelvic pain. My IBD diagnosis came about 5 years later. THAT's what causes my pelvis to hurt.

Endometrial bleeding does not go through the intestines. I've had endo for 5 years (probably longer, but that's when I had my lap) and never had rectal bleeding until this latest CD flare. With my first CD flare, I didn't have any bleeding. So maybe it just depends on the severity of the flare.
