That shake sounds a little "thick"... Almond milk is nice, but it is pretty thick and "creamy"
Make sure you drink atleast a glass or two of water with the shake. The almond milk with the vanilla is just a whole more bunch of sugar, that might interfere with things.
How do you make your own almond milk? I am indeed interested... I do fine with peanut butter, in fact PB&J is my go-to foods during flares and I think even speeds up my recovery time.
Get well
Homemade almond milk is sugar free and far from thick
It's literally just almonds blended with water, then strained through something fine like a cheesecloth or a paint strainer. I do one cup of almonds to 6 cups of water. Blend 1 cup of almonds with 3 cups of water, strain, then use the pulp to blend the next three cups and strain once again. After this I just toss the pulp. A cup of almonds not only costs less than a carton of storebought almond milk, but actually takes less time to get given you have to get in the car, go to the store, and come back. 6 cups of almond milk easily last me a week.
The lack of additives makes it go bad quicker than storebought though, of course. After 5 days, you might just make some new stuff.
