For all the SCDers on the board:
Last weekend, I either went through the die-off, or I had a bad reaction to some peanut butter I wasn't ready for, but either way, I went from having, nice, formed, once or twice a day stools back to the three or more times a day, and them being all over the place, from formed to liquid and everything in between. I started back on intro diet foods, making some more soup last Sunday, and eating it, gelatin, and beef patties most of the week. My side had been feeling warm most of the weekend, and last Tuesday, when I saw my GI, I told him about it, but he was in the middle of examining me, so I'm not sure he really heard me, or if he had, and he just didn't know what to say. I should have brought it up again, and I didn't, which was my fault. I was alright until about Thursday, when it moved down to my thigh. It was intermittent at the beginning, and didn't really bother me that much. It felt, in both my side and my thigh, like the warmth was coming from the inside, like it does after you've had the sun shine on it for awhile, or have had your computer sitting in your lap too long. It's getting more frequent, to where it's almost constant, while I'm awake, anyway. When I'm asleep, and just after I wake up, I don't seem to have a problem. Today, I had some soup, probably about 11:30 or so, and then didn't eat anything else until about 8:30. I had taken a nap in between, from about 3:00 to just after 4:00, and after I woke up, I didn't feel too badly, though the feelings started back up again within the hour. I took a walk about 8:00pm, to see if that would help with anything, and it did, and when I got back, I had some more broth. I strained the soup because I didn't feel like having to chew the chicken. I wasn't feeling that bad until about 9:30, when my headache came back, and my side and leg aren't that warm right now, but they are warmer than they were when I got back from my walk.
The soup I made was the chicken soup from the intro diet in Breaking the Vicious Cycle. I used chicken thighs, skinned them, and boiled them in something like six or eight quarts of water, with a pound of carrots. I put the celery and onions in cheese cloth, to make it easier to remove them, and used parsley and a clove of garlic, (I was experimenting with the garlic) that was also in the cheese cloth. This is the third time I've made the soup, the second time with the garlic, and the first using the cheese cloth. Could that be the culprit? This is also the first time I've put the chicken through the food processor, like the carrots. I wanted to see what would happen, if I could make it easier still on my stomach.
Or, this could all be from the mold I found in our basement. I have had adverse reactions to mold before, though not like this.
