Acupuncture for kids with UC

My brother-in-law has acupuncture due to nerve damage.  She was actually recommended by a doctor so I feel she trustworthy.  I just got off the phone with my sister asking her to please find out if acupuncture can help UC.  My daughter is 16 yrs old and we feel we have tried it all.  Asacol, Prednisone, Azathiaprine, Remicade, Humira, one 5 day hospital stay.  It's been 10 months since she has been diagnosed and has not been out of a flare more than 5 days at a time.  He has an appt next Thursday (9/15) and is going to ask about it.  I will let you know what I hear.  Please let me know if you hear anything.  We are Remikid - need to change that as it didn't work.

I had it at 21. Didn't really do much for me. It relaxed me during the appointments, but I still had trouble sleeping, and didn't really experience any improvement in any symptoms.

I do accupunture weekly. It hasn't helped my UC but has relieved some stress. And I really enjoy that quiet hour!

Thanks for all of the replies. I like the suggestion of the "quiet-hour" maybe Mommy will check into that for herself. I sure could use some stress relief!
