Sibby,
but the only downfalls to this drug are long process of it kicking in, and doctors not prescribing it? Correct?
No, actually for some it isn't such a long process of kicking in, especially if you are on the SCD diet - then it just seems to speed up your getting great results much, much faster.
In conjuction with the SCD diet, you could start to see positive results in a little as a week.
My theory is that the SCD diet allows your gut to heal through the help of LDN, and once it's all healed up (which may take 6 months from years of damage and ulceration), then many are able to resume a fairly normal diet with no problems.
As far as doctors prescribing... yes. that is a bit of an issue. Most GI won't give it, however I've heard of some actually doing it if you show them the Dr. Jill Smith studies with Crohns Patients going into remission with LDN. And if your GI won't, as mine didn't, then it's just a matter of finding a doctor who will. It's a little challenging, but IMO worth every bit of it.

Anyway, it's your call, and as with anything in life which affects your wellbeing, you must do your due diligence.
