I thought I already posted this, so if I have two similar posts I apologize
After my last sigmomidoscopy (turned colonoscopy) my GI said I may need to go on an immune suppressor like 6mp or methotrexate and maybe something like Humira. At the follow up we discussed it in futhur detail and I mention some alternative treatments. His response was along the lines of not enough studies if any, these are proven to work, you would have to do this and that to even get it (helminths) etc. etc. My alternative ideas, in order of wanting to try are:
1 transdermal or oral LDN
2/3/4 Fecal transplant/antibiotic treatment/helminths
5 Experimental stem cell (definitely last)
What if we are diametrically opposed after discussion? What then? I'm not hopeful he'll acquiesce to even trying something like LDN. Yes, I do like my GI and feel he is one of the very best I have access to.
My argument goes like this: yeah they aren't as proven to work as the standard line, but even considering this they are definitely worth a shot. Any tips?
