Anyone try spirulina?

There are some mouse models saying spirulina was protective from colitis but from my experiences and a past experience on this forum it didn't help so much...

Anyone have any good or bad luck from spirulina? Thanks!

I have an all natural plan protein that has a lot of spirulina and I am taking it every day it rocks. Will buy more.

Hey, you're back! *waves*

Anyway, I've not taken spirulina by itself but have had it added to smoothies... I don't think it really helped much, but it is supposed to be very healthy for you.

It's only a TNBS mouse model though so depending on your phenotype or cause of colitis, spirulina might have different effects... This is why I'm asking people, cause for me and one other it made us super sick, where as it seems to help others.

I add it to my smoothies. Doesn't do anything for my UC but it's really healthy.

If following the SCD Diet, it is an illegal item. So I have just banned it..

I take pills 3x daily. For now, it is the Trader Joe's brand but I feel it helps me a lot. Pain management is a lot easier with my regimen that I take.
