I do not have too much trouble with red wine. I consider it to be one of the more UC friendly alcoholic beverages. When I am flaring, I avoid liquor big time because it is loaded with sugar. I seem to do poorly with sugars when I am flaring and I try to eat fresh foods.

All wine makes me bleed and fast! I can tolerate small amounts of Patron tequila but thats about
it for alcohol for me.

I tend to stick toward rum and Hard ciders. the grains in other alcohols bother me but the sugar doesnt seem to hurt me at all.

I drink daily about
250 ml of red wine. Only DRY red wine.
No problems with it at all.

Red wine for me =
Not only does it affect my Uc but it also gives me migraines. I am sensitive to sulfites and malt beverages. I don't seem to have an issue with vodka tho.

I am able to drink red and white wine the dryer Cabernet and Chardonnay. Beer is an absolute killer for me. Vodka makes me bleed as well but Patrone silver doesn't bother me much. I think the patrone kills all the bad things in me for a day

my "nutrametrix" doctor keeps telling me that red wine works as a stool softener/laxative... if you have C-dominant like me, it's good for you (although with my meds i shouldn't have the alcohol), if you have D-dominant, it can be very bad for you.

I'm another one who can handle red wine no problem, but can't do beer at all. One sip and I'm in massive, crazy bloated pain for like, two hours. Hard liquor is ok, too.

Love red wine- right now I'm hooked on this tasty shiraz cabernet blend! I usually have a glass or 2 every few nights, pretty full glasses if I do say so...!!! It never seems to bother my UC, sometimes I swear the extra "relaxation" etc. you get from a few drinks helps with UC. Maybe it's mental. I don't drink beer anymore, the carbonation just doesn't agree with me.
