I have a low iron count and a hemoglobin of 120, which is really low for me. I am always feeling tired and I sleep atleast 10 hours a day, and I still have a hard time waking up. Before I only use to sleep like 7-8 hours and I would be fine. I took iron tablets about a few weeks ago when I was in a delicate remission but i started having more then 1 BM a day so I quickly stopped taking them. Now I think im ready to give it a shot again because im so sick of being tired all the time.
I just wanted to know when to take iron tablets (Palafer (100g of elemental iron)), what to take them with, and what to avoid when you take them. Also do I take them on an empty stomach or not, morning/evening? thanks
Search 'iron probiotics' in this forum. You will see why it is not good to do.
After the researcher chimed in I stopped supplementation after starting up again, last weeks bloodwork showed my iron was high so I am doing fine without them and the negative effect on UC.
