I just came across this article. It's about how Crohn's is caused by a WEAKENED immune system as opposed to an OVER-ACTIVE immune system. Since Crohn's and U.C. are one in the same, I figured it was worth posting.

This theory has been around for a while and it's been shown by British researchers (can't remember which uni) who went against conventional logic and boosted the immune systems of CD patients instead of suppressing them and they got well. Frightening...

That's great! I know it's from 2006 but since my doctors are always suppressing my immune system, I wonder if I'd get better for good by boosting it? I've never thought suppressing the I.S. was the answer so hopefully more doctors will start trying the opposite.

Since the confusion of whether it's over or underactive, last I read since after 2006, the medical researchers have agreed to just label it as a "dysfunctional" immune system, or "impaired functioning" immune system.
