I get that "stretched" feeling when I have eaten something that causes gas and bloating. Have been changing my diet to omit lactose and gluten and reduce carbohydrates and sugars.
It's not the easiest thing to do but I notice a lot less discomfort than when I am careless about
foods.
In my experience, stress can also cause a reaction.
I've found probiotics to be very beneficial. Have been mixing them with slippery elm bark and a little honey and drinking after dinner. Seems to soothe my digestive tract.
