Catsclaw

I have searched the forums for this and if it has been mentioned before, I apologize. I have found that catsclaw works well for me. I have Microscopic Colitis.

I only see catsclaw mentioned in relation to Lymes disease.

I've heard it can be helpful for crohn's disease but I've not tried it yet (I take a lot of other supplements) however I may give it a try, afterall what works for some doesn't necessarily work for all but we won't know until we try. From my understanding of it, it's suppose to calm down inflammation throughout the intestines (which I guess is why it's suppose to benefit CDers since CD can affect the entire GI tract).

As far as dosage, I take two 500 mg capsules a day. I may try a higher dose for awhile to see if I could get back to more normalcy. I understand that once you have it under control, you can go to maintenance with one capsule per day.

I ended up getting some cats claw and trying it for a couple of weeks but it made me have issues with severe gas so I stopped (I didn't even have gas issues before starting it) it kinda freaked me out.

It was a long time ago now twiggs, I know I was taking enough of it though based on what they told me at the health food store to take to treat CD specifically.
