You can do a Google search or you can use the search function located on the upper blue bar. You can search for 6mp or Mercaptopurine but type in "6mp used for Ulcerative colitis".
I've been on it for about 5 or 6 years or so. You may only get side effects when you first start it such as nausea, headaches, fatigue and mild hair loss. Once your body gets used to it, the possible side effects will lessen. You will have to go in for frequent blood testing. The blood tests determine how you are metabolizing it and to make sure your liver enzymes and CBC are good.
There is a very rare risk of lymphoma but it's almost non-existent in Uc'ers mainly because we take such low doses. Also, it can lower your ability to fight infections.
