OT- hard lump

Have any of you had a small hard lump under your upper arm? Not anywhere near the armpit or anything. I thought perhaps it's a calcium deposit or a fatty deposit, or a cyst.
Not sure, but I've been on Imuran for two years so I'm just curious.

Do you mean in your armpit or on the part of the upper inner arm between the elbow and armpitÉ

It could be any of those or a swollen lymph node, but you should get to the doc asap and get it checked out.

Sibby, I do get hard lumps under my arms but I have always gone to the doc ASAP when I discover a new one.  They have always turned out to be a type of cyst.

The thing with lumps they are all different so I would be going to the Doctor ASAP to have it checked.

I agree that your should have any painful lump looked at by your doctor, especially near the arm pit area.

I went to my doc once because I had a few painful lumps under my arm but closer to my breasts. She did an exam and told me that I have fibrocystic breasts and that if I had any sort of lymphoma, most lumps are painless - that was(is) my biggest fear. I even went in for an ultrasound. Does your hurt?

It might just be a cyst and if it is, a doc can drain it or remove it for you but it's best to get checked out.

No, it's not under my arm or my armpit. It's about 4 inches away from my shoulder, on the outside of my arm. The area was itchy and then a lump showed up. It's a little tender but not really painful.

But I'll definitely look into it. Thank you all for the advice.

Or could it be erythema nodosum? I had that before I started drugs for UC: itchy, inflamed, painful lumps but they were on my shins and ankles for the most part. Once, I had a very small one on a wrist.
