well, i have been having numbness, pain, and tingling in my feet ever since i started medications in august 2011. i saw a neurologist last week and went in for an EMG today. he thinks the symptoms were caused by prednisone. i gained 40 lbs of water weight and couldn't walk. i borrowed my grandma's walker for a month until the water weight started to come off. my limbs were just way to heavy for me to lift and i probably wasn't getting a lot of circulation in my limbs.
have any of you had an EMG done before? it basically is a bunch of needles put in your feet and legs and then you are shocked. it feels really weird like you are getting a ton of bee stings for 10 minutes straight. fortunately, my doctor found no nerve damage! i am so thrilled, but now my feet and calves are tingling and hurting because of all the little holes i have everywhere in my muscles. i wore my mom's socks to the hospital and they have little blood marks all over them ahhh hopefully they will come out in the wash.
i am praying that the numbness goes away though since i know that nerve damage isn't the cause.
