Vomiting-Tapering on Prednisone?

Around 4pm yesterday I started having terrible pain from bloating and sour stomach. I threw up my dinner at 6:30 and felt better. Then after taking my prednisone around 9:30 I threw up again. I texted my GI and he said that I am "slowly heading for the hospital." He is calling me this morning to see what the next step will be.

Not sure if this reaction is from tapering from Prednisone or an infection or something else. I have been on 40mg of pred for 5 weeks, 5 days at 35mg and 3 days at 30mg. I did not take anymore pred last night after throwing up. i was able to sip gatorade all night and keep the fluids in. Ironically, I had a formed BM this morning with no blood.

Very confused at this point :( I just want to get better!

I ate some toast and felt bloated and nauseous. For dinner I ate a little bit of chicken parmagiana. Later I ate crackers & applesauce and threw that up too. I feel like the taper is fast too. I felt so great and energized Saturday and then Sunday I feel like I fell off a cliff. That was my 3rd day at 30mg.
Still waiting for GI to call me back.

So the vomiting episode ended last night and I am able to eat saltines and keep gatorade down today. Other than feeling achey I am doing okay. My GI said that I may just have gotten a little bug from one of my kids. Back up to 35mg of Prednisone tonight.

I just don't understand how I can feel so good one day and then completely crash and burn the next???

Zofran helps a lot with vomitting. You need a prescription for it though. If you feel better now, I wouldn't bother, but just for future reference.
