Flare caused by a cold settling down after another cold

This flare started right after a cold I picked up in November, and now it's starting to settle down again after I got hit by another cold a few weeks ago. This cold by the way was NASTY... probably the worst I've ever experienced. I was stuck in bed with a high fever for an entire week and had no idea what was going on around me, so I skipped my mesalamine pills and enemas during that entire time.

My first BM after I started feeling better had no blood in it. A few weeks later and I'm still not seeing any blood. I'm sticking with the nightly enemas though until that trace of mucus also stops. I thought this cold was going to cause my UC to go haywire, but what I got was the opposite. I'm feeling better than I did before picking up this cold. Pretty ironic huh?
