Anyone tried these for proctitis? I saw some studies done on both with resolution of bleeding.

I tried Berberine Complex and found that it helped. As a result, I became interested in natural antibiotics and have since started using Olive Leaf Extract and have seen noticeable improvement from it.

I started using melatonin (1 to 3 mg of Walmart "Spring Valley" brand - comes with B6) about
6 months ago for sleep issues and was amazed by the unexpected improvement in my UC (on a par with mesalamine or psyllium).
Some papers point to increased intestinal bicarbonate secretion as cause of melatonin's help others point to surprisingly extensive presence of neurotransmitters (serotonin) in the colon (as well as the brain/pineal gland).
