urgency cortisone suppositories

Not to be groos, but has anyone noticed additional urgency after using suppositories twice a day? I noticed earlier today there seemed to be alot of discharge from the suppository. Then I had an accident today with no warning which is very unusual. I'm so tired of dealing with this!

Nothing grosses us out here. Do you mean that you had leaking from the suppository? I've had that happen a lot when I use a suppository or enema and then I pass wind. It's best to try not to let any wind out if you're retaining medicine. I haven't used hydrocort suppositories, just Canasa so I can't comment on whether this is a possible side effect of the suppositories. Have you tried enemas or 5ASA rectals? Maybe they would work better for you?

suppositories are made of slippery stuff, and one wouldn't even feel that stuff in the rectum.

I use suppositories on occasion for hemmies, and with any gas, I'm guaranteed to expel some of the melted liquid into the toilet. My mind is in constant "remember you have a suppository in your butt" all day....no such thing as a dry fart for sure.

Your rectum would not absorb the nonmedicinal glycerine, etc....it will come out.

If suppositories are giving you trouble you could try Cortifoam.
