Anything that has been cooked or heated would kill the bacteria. Usually products with beneficial bacteria say "live cultures" or something on the packaging. They are always in a refridgetated section of the store. There is a brand of pickles called Bubbies that are fermented instead of plain old pickled in vinegar. You can make your own kombucha if you buy a SCOBY from a site online. People sell them on ebay or culturesforhealth.com. I have made my own, it's easy. You jsut need the SCOBY, tea, water, sugar, a container to ferment in, bottles to bottle it. There is an even easier method where you can brew constantly but it doesn't ferment as long so I can't see it containing as much beneficial bacteria. There is also something called watter kefir you can make with kefir grain. There are a lot of options for finding and making these types of products. I didn't notice my UC improving when I drank a lot of kombucha. It seems to sound more effective than it is, for me anyway.
