I work out as much as I can find the time. High weight low reps, plyometrics, and sprints. I don't like aerobic exercise bc it burns too many precious calories. I find other ways to raise my heart rate, that should be on a different chatroom altogether. I try and add as much biomass as I can because it shortens any flare when the body cannot assimilate as many calories. Your body goes into catabolism and basically eats itself for vital nutrients involved in repair and sadly it chooses muscle over fat initially.
I flare about once a year now for a week to 8 or more, depending if it goes panco on me. When I used to flare more often I would run bc I thought it helped. Nope. Now I rest completely during said flare and try to conserve my energy until I heal. I still drop weight like Im on some hollywood diet thingy but it comes back fast when I form solid BMs again.
No solids until I form solids. No workouts period during the big D days. No abs (reminds me too much of tenesmus) No aerobics. Multi-joint exercises are the best for me (squats, bench, deadlift to military, etc)
Peace and Love
