Can't find my suppositories and I've gone 2 days without them

Maybe this is a silly question, but who knows. I'd say I'm almost in remission now (eating almost normally, only on 3.5 Gr of oral Pentasa and 4-5 1gr Pentasa suppositories a week. I haven't had bleeding in more than a month and I have had pretty much normal stools lately.

However, I ran out of my Pentasa suppositories on Monday night, and yesterday I went to buy my monthly supply but my pharmacy didn't have it. I 've called several pharmacies and it looks like nobody has it, and I'm starting to freak out 'cause it's been 2 days straight without the suppositories.

Anyone with experience with Pentasa supps, is there reason to worry if I can't find the suppositories today or tomorrow? How fast should I expect my rectum-lower colon to react to the lack of Pentasa suppositories? I'd appreciate your comments.

You could order Salofalk from Canada. I have been trying to lower my useage of Canasa (same as pentasa or salofalk) for a while and I always start to notice symptoms if I am not on them for a few days! I can't believe I can have symptoms that quickly but it seems to be the case. This week I have only used 1 or 2 Canasa and I have been okay - not as good as when I was using them daily but not bad... I am hoping I continue to stay well on a lower dose as I am uninsured and I can't afford to pick up my prescription. I will try to hang on to what I have for as long as possible. Perhaps I will go to Canasa's PAP program and enroll. Even with the PAP, it's $20 a month which I can't afford right now with all my other bills.
