Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I wanna move some place nice and hot when I am not sick. My dream is to live on the beach in Costa Rica or maybe Thailand. Any place that has a lot of good fruit.

I'm south of Sarasota FL (west coast of FL)

bananagirl-you don't need to leave the US, SW Florida on both east and west coasts are Zone 10 sub-tropical and with lots of fruit almost year-round. I have bananas in fruit right now but am probably going to remove them when they are done fruiting, very unpretty group of trees and my yard is small. I have 5 kinds of citrus growing (blood orange, honeybell orange, sweet lime, key lime, Meyer lemon) along with mulberry, sapodilla (tropical pear-like) and raspberry. My neighbor has a giant mango tree so I don't have to grow one. He also has a peach tree but my peach trees did not do well, need a special Florida low-chill hour type. Blueberries also grow well just a little north of me and I've gone to U-pick places for them.

And yes, I love this forum!  I feel like the information I get here compliments the medication regime from my GI dr.  I don't think I would be feeling this well if It wasn't for the things I have learned here that I have tried.

Kent (UK) - it's a great forum, but I only tend to visit when unwell.

Remicade 10ml every 6 weeks which was great but body now showing signs of resistance and I have to use Prednisolone to control flares (until next dose of Remicade).   Keep in touch here to see how people get on with surgery as I guess that will probably be the end game for me at some stage.  Best regards and have a Happy St Patrick's Day this w/end - Russ

I am in South Texas... and our weather is never very cold, and if it gets cold it doesn't last long. :)

I am ready for the summer! Over 100 degree days with the sun shinning... great lake weather!

There are quite a few Ontario license plated cars in town right now and I know a few Canadians who are year-rounders.
I wonder how the permanent residents handle health-insurance, I know CAD people have to buy supplemental in insurance when they spend the winter here.

I'm personally jealous of Canadian health insurance coverage. By the time we get universal health in the US I'll be long gone lol.

You really are taking a chance with a pre-existing health problem when traveling. One good thing with UC is I should usually have time to get back home. I would definitely just do the winters there...too hard to give up our health-insurance that's for sure.

I'm french canadian from Montreal (yes like Celine Dion), lived in Cork, Ireland (biker doesnt mean i preach for the murphys though:P)... then lived in Hampshire (UK) and now I live in London (UK).
Funny enough everytime i got to my local charity shop they play either Micheal Buble, Celine Dion or Shania Twain.... dear god!
