Ok so on my way home from work I picked up this neat little bread machine today at a local yard sale. I love yard sales. One man's junk is another man's treasure.

I'm not normal and I don't do normal things so instead of buying some S.Cerevisiae yeast to make some dough, I'm going to use a few leftover S.Boulardii caps from the fridge. I don't use this yeast much anymore for no apparent reason bc it works like a gem.. I just haven't had any big D bouts lately worth fighting.

BTW, it is brutally effective against big D, ESPECIALLY when combined with a psyllium supp (makes it somewhere like 20% more effective). Candida hates it immensely and its like putting a McDonalds kiosk in the middle of Burger King. Just sayin.

Anyway, Has anyone tried to bake with this stuff or am I about to make the worst tasting bread on the planet? I'm about to find out. Results pending.

I just tried it a few minutes ago. Absolutely disgusting. It is best served in pill form. I've also decided not to quit my day job in favor of becoming a baker. haha.

i didn't know sacro b helps with diarrhea! i have an unopened bottle in my fridge and am having tons of diarrhea. i hope it will help along with l-glutamine. the bottle says to take with food but i usually always take probiotics on an empty stomach. is this right?

Take it with food. If you take a fiber supp def take it with that. S.B is a type of probiotic but is a friendly yeast rather than a bacteria. It helps to adjust the pH of the intestines making it more hospitable for good bacteria to flourish. Im still unclear if it set up colonies as I have read conflicting reports. Usually takes me a week or 2 to help me with D and I take it with a psyllium supp to feed it. For me personally it gives me gas instead of D, I can handle that trade.

Take your probiotics with food, preferably with a fiber supp as well. Unless your probot pills are enteric coated or cultured specifically to resist harsh pH environment of the stomach they will almost all perish and waste your cash. Reason is the food dampens some of the harsh stomach conditions, gives them something to eat along their journey to colon world, and gives them a place to set up shop.
