Feet Cramping while on Prednisone and Imuran

I have been having problems with my feet cramping every night when I go to bed and stretch my legs my foot will cramp up, this will go on all night long if I stretch my legs.

Is anyone else having this problem while taking prednisone and Imuran and did it go away if you quit taking the prednisone?

I am not taking Imuran, but I am taking prednisone and Entocort, and yes my hands and feet cramp.
I called the pharmacy and asked them to look at my meds and see if there was something causing it, they
said no, and for me to call my Dr. I went to my reg Dr and he ordered blood work... electrolites, potassium
and other vitamins everything came back in the normal range.

He told me to drink more water- That was expensive advice-

I still have hand and feet cramps and Im drinking LOTS of water.

I'm not on pred but when I started taking 6mp, I started getting horrendous cramps in my feet and calves. I increased my water and started eating ripe bananas but that still only helped marginally. Two years ago, my docs put me on a high sodium diet to help counteract my extremely low blood pressure and wouldn't you know it....I haven't had a cramp since! There are times that I get the "pre-warning" of a cramp but I just eat something salty and it stops it.

prednisone destroyed my feet. the cramping in them was bad, but the tingling and numbness was worse. it hasn't gone away and it's been almost 5 months since i've been off prednisone. my neurologist thinks that since my feet were so swollen, most of the circulation was cut off so blood couldn't be supplied to my feet. to help, i would sleep with heated IV fluid bags on my feet and around my ankles. also, i always kept them elevated with pillows and massaged them with lotion frequently.

I had terrible cramping in my foot the other evening. It was awful and would happen repeatedly. People say potassium can help. I had some banana the following days and I've been fine since. I am not sure if the banana helped or if the cramp had passed but whatever the case, I want to prevent it from happening again.

I've definately had the cramping with Prednisone. I think they told me it wasn't that but it was.
