Low dose allergen therapy, anyone tried or have comments?

this was developed by W.A. Shrader, who helped me find my doctor in oklahoma to prescribe ldn. I haven't got to try it yet, i had gone into the hospital and had pain meds til now and can't mix ldn with pain meds, but am excited to start it soon. Dr. Shraders office found me the doc in okla, he had helped his mother. I have done some vitamin infusions, he based on blood,urine,and stool labs taken at the hospital, and i think that was helpful. This low dose allergen therapy was suggested at our first meeting, I am trying it on Tuesday, I'll be excited to share my news. Hopeful and soon ready to try ldn, i have the 1 oral to try, hopefully won't be waiting time needing transdermal. The clinic is the Lamkin Clinic in Edmond,OK. I feel i'm in good hands. Hopeful. LDA is a method of immunotherapy that induces the production of activated T-suppressor cells. it involves desensitizations with combos of a wide variety of extremely low dose allergens. It is very safe, as i find it impossible to stomach all UC drugs.

I had it done a few years ago. The worst part was finding out what i was allergic to. 2 hours of injections ugh! I had over 50 sensitivities to food, chemicals and inhalants. the diet restrictions going into the treatment were hard. I could only eat potatoes, celery, lamb and jicama for the day before, day of and day after the shots. If you eat foods you are sensitive to during the time period it can mess with the resistance building. Sounds like the way you will be doing it may be a little bit different. Mine was only shots, 3 to be exact, 3 months apart and then I was supposed to go back and get them twice a year after my first year of treatments was done, but i didn't feel i needed to continue.

I could visibly see my allergies getting better with each injection. the sites where I was injected went from swelling to the size of a quarter to swelling no more than a pin head in one year of treatments. I think that is pretty awesome. Especially since i had no idea i was sensitive to anything other than soy and corn.

Considering no one really knows exactly what is being attacked in UC, I can't see how low dose injections of allergens would help with UC. Whole thing seems like a slightly different version of homeopathy to me.

I read about it there too! I actually posted a thread about another post I read on here and someone commented about LDA and I thought it looked pretty suspicious.

I know allergy shots are legitimate, but LDA is basically one of those alternative medicine things. Essentially it's a super diluted solutions of whatever particular allergen is ailing you to try and help you overcome it. Sounds exactly like homeopathy, and it claims to treat an extremely wide range of conditions. Two red flags for me.
