On a ReMission to Spread Health

I hesitated before making this topic because with this condition I'm always feeling like I need to have a "Knock on Wood" mentality! I just had my doctor appointment today and everything was great. She said my hemoglobin levels were terrific, (and is a great marker for inflammation because the immune system attacks red blood cells), but I have so many, and i'm not anemic. She was surprised that i'm still doing well off of prednisone with little to no symptoms and just begs me to stay on the Asacol.

When I addressed the issue of having bouts of pain a few weeks ago and then abruptly stopping, she said pains after eating is usually a gall bladder issue and would want to do an x ray (or something) if it comes back.

It's been a grueling 7 months and I'm so thankful I found all of you to help me through it on the forums!

-I never would have heard of the SCD
-VSL / probiotics
-other supplements and great advice
So thank you, I'm sure I will always be asking for advice here.

Nice to hear that your doctor's visit went well, and you got a thumbs up from the doc!

You're obviously doing things right.

Keep an eye out for the possible gall bladder issue....

Thanks everyone! Q, yes oddly enough the stomach pains went away, when I go to VT in a month I think I'll get that ultrasound. ;)
