I love this place because I can share everything and no one judges ... Well at least not till now: I fell asleep in the bathroom on the floor!
I was up last night throwing up (I have some virus that is killing me right now). Well I sat down on the floor between being sick and fell asleep! Not sure for how long, but it was at least fifteen minutes!
I have a dr appointment today and I'm pretty sure they will give
Me an antibiotic, any suggestions for ones that are not so hard on those who
Are just coming out of a flare ?

twiz, I have nearly fallen asleep on the toilet. I had a stomach bug a few months ago where I was throwing up and having D. I didn't take anything and it passed.

I don't know of any antibiotic that is more friendly to us UCers, but the last time I had to go on an antibiotic my doctor gave me a short round of pred to keep from flaring.. it was a 2 week taper of the pred to the 1 week antibiotic.
I hope you feel better... and sadly I have fallen asleep on the toilet... resting my head on the toilet paper roll on the wall in the holder... lol It was late one night and I was in the restroom way too many times and I was half awake when I got there and Lord knows how long I slept there... LOL

well, if you have a virus, I would NOT take antibiotics! They would do no good anyway and you
open yourself up to the side effects ...
As for falling asleep in the bathroom, I definitely have done that a number of times ...

I should have clarified about
the antibiotic .... I have a cyst On my head that is infected and I needed antibiotics for it last time. I'm really falling apart, cyst, deep cough, stye, and tail end of flare...

oh yeah this has happened to me a few times. i can specifically remember 3 times- the first time, i had food poisoning and was living in the bathroom so i fell asleep on a bath rug. the second time, i was doing an enema and fell asleep after that because i didn't wanna move. and the third time, i fainted in the hospital on the toilet because i was in so much pain.

twiz to make you feel better here are a few on my UC and drunk highlights
-Fell asleep on the border on the toilet bowl vomitting while the UC end exploded on the floor.
-Fell asleep on the toilet for 30 minutes at a party while everyone was waiting in line for them
-Fell asleep on the bathroom floor many time because when i have pain or strong winds on my left side the cool effect of the ceramic floor calms me! And its never far from a toilet!
-Vomitted in my thick and long hair and fell asleep in it.
-When I had very bad hemmies I took lots of baths during the night and of course fell asleep in the bath just to wake up when the water was freezing!
-Fell asleep during a date.
-Fell asleep during a dentist appointment.
I actually consider the bathrooms tiles to be very soothing for the UC :P

When I first got UC, I was sleeping on the bathroom floor for a few nights because I kept having to get up to go to the bathroom about
every 15-30 minutes and couldn't walk or move without pain and having the urge to go. I thought I was dying.
