I'll be traveling to the US tomorrow to visit my doctor, and I have so many questions.
Just as a benchmark, I was wondering how you all define "remission"? Does it mean pooping once a day, with a nice big formed S or C shaped poop? Does it mean being able to eat/drink whatever you want, including booze and high fiber foods? Does it mean not feeling your colon all day long? No pain in that area?
Basically, does it mean feeling like I felt when I was 18 and never gave my colon a second thought? If so, I'm far from it.
While I only have one or two bm's a day, they are not formed. I also have urgency when those bm's come, like a min to get to the bathroom. I used to have accidents once a day, now I have them once a week, but doesn't remission mean not having accidents?
I also am very careful about not eating raw fruits and veggies, and no fiber at all. I don't drink either. Last night I had two glasses of champagne (and they were lovely) today I've had 3 loose stools and urgency (hadn't had 3 stools in one morning for months).
Arrgh! Doesn't remission mean not having to be careful or scared any more?
