Thanks Imagardner, that's a great idea. I don't want him to think that I left because I was unhappy. He was very supportive for 7 years and like I said, what GI calls you on the weekend to check up on you??? I just feel that this new doctor is a better fit for me and my disease at this stage of the game.
Seasons, I am doing fine and mentally doing great. I think the Prednisone was making me a little crazy at those high dosages and it has really taken a toll on my body. I have now gained 20 lbs, have moonface, acne and I feel tired and lethargic throughout the day. Now that the symptoms are slowly returning I feel I need to step up my game. I decided against 6mp because it will take 2-3 months before it starts working and I will still have to take prednisone for that time. Also, it has it's own set of side effects. I seem to be very sensitive to medication so I think Remicade is going to be my next step. Committing to Remicade for the rest of my life sounds daunting but my new GI believes that I am a good candidate. Prednisone is just not the answer for me.
