Is there a big difference between the two?
I've been taking slippery elm powder and it seems to help with my cramping. It always forms a nice gel in my mug and I figure it's also coating my digestive tract. Does marshmallow do the same? I have read that it also forms a thick gel and coats the tract and helps with inflammation.
Only reason I am asking is that I just finished off my second bag of slippery elm powder. I have a big bag of marshmallow powder and wanted to see if I could just use that instead of ordering another bag of slippery elm. I ordered both of them at the same time thinking that I would use them in combination, but I ended up not opening the marshmallow. Has anyone else used it before and had success?
I will try it for a week and if I notice that it's helping, I'll be able to conclude that, in fact, they do the same thing! Let the experiment begin!
