Babe, I find your criticism of Insofla interesting. I've found your posts interesting in the past and perhaps they have helped some people but I can very clearly remember you bringing up the vaccine theory and Andrew Wakefield repeatedly with me in regards to my daughter's case. I think I made it very clear that I was aware of the information and did not find it credible and I found it odd that you continued to post it on a number of my threads. It wasn't clear why you continued to do this but I never would have thought of launching into you for it. So, I think you need to cut someone else some slack IMHO.

As a newbie, i found it a little concerning coming to this thread and being told that the medical profession are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies by InSoFla. Sorry, but i think this is a strong statement and as much as I appreciated the information given it made me hesitant to take on board the advise given.

Personally, i think its easy to become consumed by this community and forget that some people may grasp onto anything when in a time of "crises"...... and alluding to conspiracy theories may not do an opinion much good.

Eh? All I've seen her do is post what works for her in threads where people are struggling and looking for possible answers, so I don't know where this is coming from (unless I've missed something).

And LDN is hardly snake oil. It IS a drug after all, and there are studies (albeit small ones) to back up the claims that it can help those with autoimmune diseases. It hasn't done jack for me but neither has 6MP and biologics won't keep me in remission. Yet we all know/accept that those medicines 'work', right? I've also never seen her claim to be cured. She sticks to an incredibly strict diet and supplement regime to stay well. Cured is being symptom and med free for the rest of your life, even in the face of 10 beers and a McDonalds ;). Maybe some people are just being too sensitive? Just use your brain as a filter and ignore the posts that aren't helpful to you. Or maybe the board should get an 'ignore' button? It works wonders on the Internet Movie Database!

She's probably tired from posting over 2500 times on this forum, trying to help people.
One thing I've always admired about the posts is the number of cited websites, publications and other backup materials provided to enable people to do further research to determine if her suggestions would be appropriate for their individual needs. Lots of work involved.

Another thing I've noticed is her consistent use of IMO.
Seems to me she's given a lot to this forum and I would hate to see her go.

I don't think this UC forum has any problem with InSoFla's posts, she has established herself as a helpful individual. Yes she has a strong opinion that what worked for her could work for other people and she has a long list of suggestions.

Because this forum is dynamic in the sense that yesterday's posts go away very quickly she is always re-newing her same suggestions with new threads because that person may not have already read her ideas. It might seem redundant to old-timers but it's new to folks who might be reading it for the first time.

The Crohn's forum has a different set of people and there have been some ruffled feathers between posters there in the past (not InSoFla). If she doesn't violate the Terms of Service she should not be shut off from posting just because some people don't agree with her. Use your Ignore button people, duh. (Which I never do, might miss something interesting lol)

InSoFla has brought some new ideas and I thank her for her participation. So has BabeInTheWoods and many others. I read posts with an open mind, even the ones that sounds far out at first. This forum is so interesting I'm probably hanging around way too long after achieving remission but I can't help reading. Way better than Housewives of Wherever and I like that there are few real arguments here. Don't you wish politics could be like this? agreeing to disagree in some cases but not shutting people up or calling them names.

When I first came to this forum very few people talked about diet modification but I was allowed to relate my story. More people have done the same with their diets. Fecal Transplant people have a place to give their success stories and it's beginning to be done by GI's now! How cool is that?

Please don't silence InSoFla or anyone else who abides by the rules. Information needs to be shared, let us sort out whether we agree with it or not.

What exactly is the agenda that InSoFla is pushing? I certainly don't see every post, but I just haven't seen an agenda being pushed.
and to Oldhat -q personally, viciously attacked me when i first came here, so you can't blame me/us for being on guard and defensive. Let's not pretend that some people are innocently being attacked, cmon now..

Paleo diet. In pretty much every post.

I have found that most ppl who post here often repeat the same advice because this is the advice they believe in.
The longer you're on the forum the more often you're going to see the same poster saying the same things.
I generally just stop reading a post if it's annoying me but I can see how if someone was putting their political opinions everywhere how that would get tiring.

As for Quincy, she has left helpful replies on my posts a number of times. Yes she did suggest rectal meds and guess what? They helped!
And if they didn't, I wouldn't blame her for it. And how she got dragged into this conversation is beyond me.

We choose to believe what we want. If we didn't I'd be 800lbs from eating bananas:)

I also believe that there are ppl who post certain things just to watch the s#@t hit the fan. To each his own.

It's the way she says anyone who doesn't believe in a paleo diet is wrong, that irks me. She's been outright rude to me in several posts. That is why I love the ignore button.

My point is that this discussion should not be focused on InSoFla but rather on the owner, Mr. Waite, and his ban threats.
