Remember a few weeks ago I posted a paper about linoleic acid and UC, a study from Canada I believe, and second generation immigrants got UC worse and at a younger age.

Well perhaps this is the reason. If you dont want to read the whole thing just read the lipid profile across

generations.

Mike- what dosage of CLA are you taking? i just started taking a single 1000 g CLA capsule a day- so far well tolerated (then again I started another bout of pred to choke off a building flare)- I already take three big max EPA fish oil capsules a day (no CLA in those though). The one thing I dont like about the CLA that I bought is that its from safflower oil.

I took one 1000mg pill did not feel right so I stopped.
Could start again at some time, who knows.
By the way EPA interferes with CLA.
Watch yourself , CLA can be liver toxic.
The make the synthetic CLA from safflower.

Thanks for the heads up... So as far as taking EPA and CLA goes, just take them at different meals? EPA definitely seems to benefit health in many ways and has some clinical data supporting it for UC, while CLA is just hypothetical in mouse models- but sounds worth trying.

Pro: You must have missed the mini Crohn's trial. Anyhow beleive that CLA and fishoil compete for the same receptors.

By the way they used the 50/50 isomer mix.
