So, when people aren't battling a flare and pain, are there opinions about the best things to heal our wounded guts? Like, do most people steer away from gluten and dairy? eat chia seeds? or is it almost hopeless?
I'm attempting the GAPS diet in the hope of healing but I'm having heartburn issues that could be from the amount of fat in the broth I need to drink.
Does anyone have experience taking hydrochloric acid to aid in digestion? My little bit of searching on the internet leads me to think HCL is contraindicated for IBD.
