Hi
My son has just had his 3rd infusion of remicade. His consultant took him off the imuran as it hadn't worked on its own and at 20 years old he said the combination of the 2 drugs together put him at a much higher chance of getting lymphoma, that it was young men who were at a higher risk. The problem is that the 2 drugs work well together and so when the imuran wore off before the 3rd infusion he is now going to the loo 6/7 times per day and we are wondering if it will hold him there or if he will slowly deteriorate. The consultant has mentioned humira so I guess that's our last and final resort before surgery which Will is desperate not to have. He has been so ill with the UC only diagnosed December 2010 but spent October in hospital and 2 weeks again in March. His crp was over 300 and his hb 7.6. He is well now but getting tireder as going to the loo more. So any advice gratefully received too. We are in the UK so we have been referred to St Marks mid May and are hoping for more help there Thanks everyone.
