New to Imuran...question

Hi there,

Just saw my GI today and after reviewing my blood tests, I finally got my script for Imuran. Starting at 100mg a day. My question is pretty simple...should I take both 50mg pills in the morning, or one in the morning and one at night? I forgot to ask!

What do you folks on Imuran do?

I take 3 pills and take them all in the morning. It takes a long time to build up in your system anyways, so I don't think it matters. Although if you experience fatigue because of it (some people do), maybe taking it at night would help.

I take them all with food first thing in the morning.

You may feel nauseous if you don't take them with food.

I take mine at 8pm or so but many people take them right before bed or some in the morning. Whatever works for you... I take mine before bed so that if I had any side effects, I would most likely sleep through them. I suffer from fatigure as it is, I don't want to experience more fatigue from the medicine througout the day.

I have tried both morning and evening. I find it easier to take them all in the morning with my breakfast and other medication or I tend to forget. Not sure if there is a right or wrong answer for what time to take them, whatever works best for you.

I take mine in the morning after I eat breakfast. I have not had any problems with nausea.
