good morning everyone..
ok, so heres a little background, symptoms started to appear after i had my babies, so almost 8 years and 5 years ago. i only had mucus, and it lasted a couple of weeks and then it went away...
so about a year and a half ago, the mucus started for no reason.. (ok probably a lot of stress) and there was mucus when i sneezed, ran, peeed., in jan 2012 i started bleeding, so thats when i decided to talk about this to my dr. i had a virtual colonoscopy done, and it said i had inflamatory colitis. by the time i had the regular one done, i was about to go check my self in the hospital, i was so low in energy, constantly to the bathroom, and the blood had been non stop for 4 months. i was told it was UC.
ok,. i was given salofalk in pills, wich didnt do much, and then got changed to mezavant, that i take at night, and a rectal suspention.. that immediatly worked.. one night this week, i could not keep the suspention, and the next day, i had tummy aches, and felt like i got hit by a buss.
so my questions are..
how do you know your not in a flare anymore??
if your on medication, and eat something that you dont tolerate, will it make the flare last longer??
i know the answers are probably different for everyone, but any tips i will take :) have a great day
