Are fissures just found outside the rectum or can they be inside where they can't be visualized by a GI doc during an exam? How do they diagnose it? Whats the typical treatment for a fissure?

There on the anus area....can happen in the folds of the anus and aren't easy to see.
You can take a look youself by squatting over a mirror. if they're
open, you'll see.
