Proctofoam

I was on it once, prescribed by another GI when mine was called away on an emergency. I did have some improvement within a week and used it for another week until I got in to see my own doc. I was then put back on the Salofalk (mesalamine)...probably for a few more weeks or so nightly, and tapered from there.

Your butt will tell you how long it will take, hope it will help clear it up in a few weeks.

Its the 10%. the dr prescribed it for my uc inflammation for the rectum, and I have no hemmies. I was just curious because I am on day 5 tonight, and still see blood.

I was improving, but today has been a bad day with blood and urgency. I am just hoping today is just a fluke. No he just said the procotfoam for 2 weeks if not better i have to start a stronger pill than asacol.

Cannot hold it in. :(. I tried for a month.

I can hold canasa but did nothing for me.

I see dr next week.. still not much improvement..disappointed..

understandable for your disappointment...maybe if you called the doc's and asked if you can up it now to twice daily before your doc's appt..will you have enough?
