FYI
Walmart, Walgreens and Target are offering free samples of Depend products.
If you want to have one or two on hand just in case, it's a good way to try them out.

In my last days of dealing with UC I had to wear Depends everyday. If anyone trys them out just be aware as they will not keep in a full bowel movement of bad diarreah in. It will just leak right out the sides. But it may give some protection in the cases where you just make it to the bathroom in time.

byebyeuc, you are DEFINITELY right. i haven't found a diaper yet that will hold in diarrhea. it will hold in firm stools though.

I thought it would be a good idea to have at least a sample on hand in case of a long car trip or whatever.
Some "backup" is better than none at all.
And...the price is right.

Sometimes the backup is just good for peace of mind... worth it for that alone.

So, no brand or type holds in liquid bm? What if they are worn backwards with the larger absorbant area better placed for u.c.? Or lined/supplemented with something?

I used one brand that kept in Ds. I don't know what brand it was cuz they gave it to me in the hospital.
Does anyone know of good ones that are cheaper than depends? Unfortunately I use them quite a bit and they are very expensive.
