imagardener2, right now i'm doing Vit. D, multivitamin, VSL#3 probiotics (3 caps daily), liquid fish oil, L-Glutamine, just ordered some L-Threonine, still doing herbs: slippery elm/marshmallow/licorice & peppermint/chamomile, and strictly the most strict gluten free diet (no deli meats with gluten, no suspicious ingredients (natural flavors, corn starch/modified) unless specified gluten free. The SCD diet was great, but yes I felt very limited, I ate alot of protein but it never seemed to make me 'feel' full, only carbs truly do that for me i've found. I still stick to most meals that I included when on the SCD diet, but now I allow myself a larger variety of foods, since living at home.
I guess you could say I cheated when starting the SCD, because I followed the diet to a T, but did not do it in the order of steps, by introducing certain foods, I just allowed myself whatever was included in that list. I gotta stop complaining though, if the diet is what worked, I can sure as hell go without grains for a bit...
Somedude, I fully agree!!! Hahaha #1 is my favorite ;) This is why i'm going for these gut function/immune tests/adrenal function tests right now, to see if there is any other way I can connect the dots with this disease! =/
Quincy, I dunno about
enemas, you the know the deal I'm working with a naturopathic doctor and although he can prescribe some meds, I'm trying every other option out before that, it is an option though... I'd really like to get off asacol first, maybe switch the two..

I think what I find odd about
the pattern of inflammation is that I only go to the bathroom 1-2 times a day, but bowels can be formed to unformed, clearly inflamed.
